This month I've finished a commission for a sculpture, my motorcycle project, and have another project well on the way. I feel more accomplished than I've felt all last year.
Trying to keep the momentum, and let everybody else know about it too.

I have returned from the limbo of Lurkerdom. Invigorated with a new sense of purpose by finishing my Iron Man project, after watching it sit in a corner for two years, and shall now be updating regularly again.

Heard that before have you?

Yes, so have I.

But this time I am actually trying to make my living with this type of thing, so I have to keep on it. Obviously I'm not a great one for posting on the internet, but I will endeavor to persevere.

That is all. You may go back to your lives.

So I'm back...

...and have been for some time, but have not seen fit to post much up here yet. So now I will.

Turkey was cool. Or rather it was pleasantly warm, except for Cappidocia were it snowed and my little sister thought we were all going to die in the Turkish wilderness. I'll post some pictures when I can.

Amtgard has been fun, weather permitting. I've been experimenting with a new greatsword design with an extended cross guard. It's heavy, but shows promise at foiling attacks and frustrating deferences.

School is eating a lot of my time. Two studio art classes, figure drawing II and watercolors I, and two history classes. At least one every day of the school week.

But while in Turkey I decided to get back at my pirate comic project. I'll be posting more stuff up here soon. I hope.

Here I sit...

... on a couch in a hotel lobby in the heart of the Ottoman Empire. My little sister, :iconfullofpersonality: , is sitting beside me watching "Boa" in Turkish, same as our most gracious hosts. From our room one can see the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, and the Bosporus strait. Tomorrow I'm going to try to draw the view, so wish me luck.

This trip has already made up for the 10 hours sitting between two quiet Turkish gentlemen, in a seat that was not designed for people with as much in the way of elbows and knees as myself.

So Merry Christmas and everything else, good night.

I don't want to hear about anyone complaining about final tests. Tests are nothing. Tests are questions you simply need to answer. Final projects, those are tough. And failure is so much more painful as well...

And now I go to Turkey. My mom is teaching Air Force brats over in Insirlik, and my little sis went with her. So I figured I'd go over there for Christmas Break. I'll try to post things I make over there, I hope to draw some cool places and maybe some people as well.

But now I'm going to go home, and go to sleep. I can hear my bed/cot calling to me...
