The USS Batfishby ~AGMorgan

Just East of Muskogee is a World War Two memorial called Hyde Park. Arranged about the park are cannons, missiles, bombs, and vehicles from the era.

The pride of the Park is the diesel submarine USS Batfish.
She sunk Fourteen ships, three of which were submarines, and rescued three downed aviators in WWII and the Korean War.

I went and took a huge number of pictures of the outside and inside for reference and thought I should post at least this one up here.

A quick look at your page says your from Iowa. That's a bit of a ride from Muskogee, so make sure you enjoy it.

The Batfish is a fine old ship. I'm sure she'll appreciate the visit.

It was? I've heard of "World War Two in the Pacific", or "The Pacific Theater" but not the "Pacific War".
