Iron Hawk by AGMorgan Iron Hawk by AGMorgan
I thought it was time to put another of my old metal sculptures up. This one is a hawk I made not long before I made the Maiden. Most of it was made with circular saw blades, brake pads for the body, and an old set of vice grip pliers for the head.

I really need to make some more of these.

This is beyond incredible. It needs to be on the cover of a Power Metal album.

There should be a "like" button on DA. Amazing work! Like the idea of using saw discs for the wings!

This is exquisite. It is as if saw blades were always meant to be wings. There is a lot of life in those rusty metal bits.

Quite right. The beauty of steel is that it's so easy to give it new life.

Thanks.

Thank you. Saw blades are an under used medium in my opinion. Glad to hear you like it!

This is great! It's interesting how something as stiff and hard as metal can be made to resemble feathers. This deserves a :+fav:!

Once you've started working on it, the metal doesn't seem so stiff and hard (except those carbide saw tips, those are HARD).

I'm glad you like it.

Why did all the talent in the world get passed out to other ppl...where was I when this all happend...probably eating someting lol

This is awesome...not to be 2 much like other ppl but I think it would be cool if you had a bunch of these that when lined up showed a kind of flight patter. Like ground to air...tree to ground...ground to tree to me getting food out of the frig lol
j'k

1. The only things needed to build something like this are a welder and hook, chop saw/angle grinder, and a heap of metallic junk.

2. That is such a cool idea I might have to steal it. Thank you kindly.
